Our Artists

Katya Madrid, the founder of Hennaglyph, personally trains all of the artists who work with us to ensure the excellence and professionalism that our reputation demands.

Katya is an artist that works in may mediums. She studied art from the time she was 3 years old, in St. Petersburg, Russia, both formally in school and at home with her father who was a sculptor and a jewelry designer. She moved to New York with her family in 1979, where she attended the H.S. of Art & Design. She went on to study visual art and film at Boston University where she graduated with honors.

She has lived in Berkeley, CA. since 1992, from where she runs Hennaglyph, and still takes an occaisional private appointment.
